This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund for Meridian, operated by MeridianBot LLC (“Meridian”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to paid subscriptions to our website and services (the “Service”) and forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Billing is handled by our payment processor, Stripe.
New accounts can start a 7-day trial for a one-time, non-refundable fee of $1, charged when the trial starts. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged the subscription fee. If you do not cancel, your first subscription payment is charged automatically when the trial ends, and the 14-day money-back guarantee below then applies to that first subscription payment (not to the $1 trial fee).
If you are a first-time subscriber and you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days of that charge. This guarantee applies once per customer and to your first paid period only. To request it, contact us within the 14-day window (see “How to request a refund” below).
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until cancelled. Renewal payments after your first paid period are non-refundable, except where required by law or expressly stated in this policy. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before your renewal date — you will keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
You can cancel any time from the Billing page. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps your access active until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide partial or prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period, except as required by law or under the 14-day guarantee above.
When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and we charge the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing cycle. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep your current plan’s features until then. Downgrades do not generate a credit or refund — you keep what you have already paid for through the end of the period.
If you believe you were charged in error — for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after a timely cancellation — contact us and we will investigate and correct any confirmed error, including issuing a refund where appropriate.
Email info@meridianbot.io or use our Contact page, from or referencing the email address on your account, and tell us the reason for your request. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe; depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several business days for the refund to appear.
We may decline or limit refund requests that appear abusive or fraudulent, or that repeatedly sign up for, use, and then refund the Service. If you have a billing concern, please contact us first; initiating a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us may result in your account being suspended while we investigate.
Nothing in this policy limits or removes any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law that cannot be waived. Where local law grants you a stronger right to a refund or a cancellation period, that law applies.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply to charges made after the updated policy is posted, and we will update the “Last updated” date below.
